VIVEK TALWAR
Founder and Principal
Marine Engineer from Wilhelm-Pieck University, Germany, specialization in Main & Aux. Engines. Held licence for Surveyor & Loss Assessor issued by the Govt. of India from 1998 to 2005. Worked as Ship Repair Engineer, Mazagon Dock, Mumbai.
Founded Vishesh Marine Surveyors in 2013 after working as a Senior Surveyor, Murray Fenton (India) who were associates of BMT Murray Fenton, UK.
Having vast experience in following surveys:
Investigation into casualties on board vessels carrying coal, Ship inspections for P&I Clubs and H & M Underwriters;
(Specialized in ship inspections and investigation into damage to Cargo Gear, Port Infrastructure & Cargo Handling Systems)
Damage, shortage & contamination claims (bulk and liquid cargoes);
Warranty surveys & loading / discharging supervision of Heavy Lifts / OD cargo for Cargo Underwriters,
Investigation into Damage to Main & Aux. Engines due to poor quality of fuel oil
Regular Marine surveys (Draught Survey, Bunker Survey, On & Off-Hire Condition Surveys etc.)
Port Operations (Fertilizers, Agri-Products, Coal and Steel Cargoes)
Assisting Solicitors in Crane Damage Incident as an expert.

A marine engineer graduated from BITS and having sailed on multiple container and bulk carrier vessels for a decade, steeped down from the sailing life in 2021 as a 3rd engineer. Since then leveraging the sailing experience in assisting in surveys related to Main engine, Aux Engines, Boilers & cargo gears along with regular marine surveys.

SENIOR SURVEYOR
MBA Graduate and Power system engineer, has commissioned coal & gas fired boilers and Dowtherm vaporizers independently while working with Thermax. Actively involved in Marine survey since 2014 such as coal fire on board, cargo gear damage, steel product loading & discharging supervision, hull & machinery damage and regular marine surveys on behalf of the various P & I Clubs and Charterers
